Driftwood Beach Festival

Close your eyes and take a few seconds to imagine the perfect beach day. Undoubtedly, you’ll envision sinking your toes in soft white powder sands, taking a dip in glistening turquoise waters, and enjoying never ending cool breezes on an idyllic sunny day. Now imagine the perfect festival – live music, mouthwatering food, celebrity appearances, fun games, and endless entertainment. Combine the two and you get Driftwood Beach Festival, making its debut at Bimini’s newest hotspot, Luna Beach, on November 3rd-5th. This three-day event will not only make all your beach and festival dreams come true, but a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Global Empowering Mission in providing relief to the victims of Hurricane Irma and Harvey. Now, let’s give you a taste of what to expect as you drift away into the dream that is Driftwood Beach.

Friday: Serving Up Gourmet & Volleyball Fun

The fun starts in the afternoon with an open beach volleyball game starring the NVL pros. Here’s your chance to play, breathe, and live volleyball with an amazing group of athletes. What better way to kick off the event with a friendly match of volleyball on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean? Doing it with a freshly made Bahama Mama waiting for you at the Luna Beach bar with extra coconut on the rim. Yum.

Keep the Bahamas Mamas coming at the rooftop happy hour. Enjoy live music as you gaze out to panoramic views of Bimini Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Maybe grab an appetizer like a smoky grilled shrimp or spicy jerk chicken kabob, but don’t get too full, dinner’s right around the corner. Indulge in a world-class feast at one of our diverse restaurants before making your way to the casino for a night of thrills and music. We’ll have a DJ spinning all night – for your dancing pleasure.

Saturday: Play With The Pros & Chill With The Vibes

A full day of excitement awaits you on Saturday, starting with open volleyball play with the pros. Practice your spike or just relax on a solar powered cabana all morning, taking in the surrounding beauty of the glistening Caribbean. At 3 PM, don’t miss the NVL Pro Exhibition where some of the best players showcase their skills in the most thrilling volleyball match you’ll ever witness.

After all that excitement, cool down with a lineup of amazing live music at Luna Beach. Enjoy a diverse group of artists – from Gregory Isaacs and the Wailers to performers from KC & the Sunshine Band. Each performer is sure to add their own effortless flair to the overall chill vibe that Driftwood is all about.

As the blue sky slowly turns into shades of pink and orange, enjoy an intimate dinner at Luna Beach. Treat your palate to an array of local specialties. There’s fresh Bahamian conch salad, a tantalizing tuna tartar platter, and local black grouper fillet topped with mango sauce – just to name a few.

End your night to the rhythms of Clement Aubrey & The Reggae Allstars live at Luna Beach. You won’t want to miss this unforgettable performance that exudes Caribbean vibes and culture. The party keeps going at Luna Beach with a live DJ spinning the hits until 2 AM. Don’t forget to take a breather from all that dancing and look up at the star-filled sky that stretches over Bimini Bliss.

Sunday: Brunch & Beach It

Your last day will be nothing less than blissful. Revitalize yourself with a hearty Bimini breakfast and a fully loaded Bloody Mary bar. Bold and salty, this savory cocktail can be garnished with your choice of bacon, horseradish, or cocktail shrimp – simply a delight for your taste buds. If you decide to sleep in a little longer in your comfortable suite (I mean, who can blame you), breakfast will be open until 12 PM. After these morning delights, get your last rounds of sun, beach, and volleyball with the pros. And just like that, your experience at Driftwood Beach Festival comes to an end, but not without a handful of memories, laughs, new friends, refined volleyball skills, and freshly tanned skin.
